Thousand Beers is a love letter to humanity's oldest fermented companion. We're building the friendliest, most curious beer encyclopedia on the internet.
What we do
We dig into the history, styles, hops, breweries, festivals, origins and science of beer, then write it up so it's genuinely fun to read. No snobbery, no gatekeeping: whether you drink pale lager or triple-barrel-aged imperial stout, you're welcome here.
How we write
We try hard to be accurate. Every entry is researched against published sources (brewing guidelines, historians, brewery and festival sites, hop breeders) and then fact-checked a second time before it goes live. Beer history is full of wonderful legends, and we love them, but we label them as legends. Style numbers (ABV, IBU and colour) follow widely used competition guidelines and are ranges, not rules. Brewers break them all the time, and that's half the fun.
Drink responsibly
