Affiliate disclosure & review policy
Straight talk about how our gear guides work, and how the site pays for its beer.
How our gear guides are made
Our homebrew shop pages are research-based buyer's guides. We compile manufacturer specifications, published independent reviews and the collective wisdom of the homebrewing community, then summarise it in our own words. Unless a page explicitly says otherwise, we have not personally tested the product, and we never pretend to.
Affiliate links
Some links on Thousand Beers may be affiliate links. If you buy something through one, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. Links that are affiliate links are marked. Commissions never change which products we include or what we say about them, and products are never ranked by payout.
As an Amazon Associate, Thousand Beers may earn from qualifying purchases where Amazon links are used.
Prices and availability
We show rough price bands rather than exact prices, because prices change constantly. Always check the retailer for current pricing, availability and specifications before buying.
Safety
Homebrewing involves hot liquids, pressure and sometimes gas burners. Follow manufacturer instructions, use propane burners outdoors only, and never distill alcohol at home. Homebrewing laws vary by country and region, so please check yours.
